Bafou: It's all speculation at this point. After buying my bf the special edition of Akira for his b-day and trying to think of what to get him for Christmas, I'm a little broke right now. It wouldn't be needed for a long time. While I can't find a good online pic right now, here's what I can give you immediately: http://www.fruits-basket.com/ The fabric would be plain cotton, no sheeny crap that everyone thinks should be used in cosplay. I prefer it to look realistic, especially since this is a school uniform.

Katsuya: I'm not too familiar with Fruits Basket, so I'd probably need to see some reference pictures. That and when you would need it done, and the type of material you want...that all would affect the price and if I could do it or not. But if I can do it I'm interested and would be glad to draft up a rough fee. :3

My sister has this jacket that makes me think of Tatsuya. But that's very loosely..because it's blue with a single black stripe across the chest. So I don't know why it makes me think of him.

Heh, I saw a red leather jacket with a black stripe and thought, "Tatsuya!"

There's actually a site that custom makes Persona cosplay with actual materials. The prices were insane, mainly because they were hand-made, even with real leather when applicable, but they were done SO well!

I checked your website, and Innocent Sin's Katsuya looks really stressed out. I like his Eternal Punishment art better. ^___^ Little webmater's tip, though: Avoid flashy backgrounds, because they can distract the reader from your content. If you feel you absolutely have to use them, make sure your text is bright enough to read and a soft enough color to be easy on the eyes (ex, don't use neon yellow text on a royal purple background).

Bafou-kun: You do a lot more cosplay than I do(you have more access to cons than I do...), and I was thinking of doing a Honda Tohru costume(from Fruits Basket), but I was curious on how much you would charge for a costume like that. In the meantime, I recently was Zelda for Halloween, and my aunt should send me the photos soon. Once I get them, I will add them to my Cosplay section. Heh, I still haven't added my Valgaav costume. I didn't take any pictures when I wore it. Same with my Naoya costume. Btw, I don't think I'll ever wear that Valgaav costume again, if anyone wants it... ^^

In other news, I think it would be interesting to have a little listing of idols who could fit as Persona characters. I already have Tomoya Nagase and Juniichi Okada up, I wonder if anyone else found images that made them think of Persona characters?

Well...I was going to do the Tatsuya from Batsu. But due to my lack of ability to paint a red "X" on the front of a jacket evenly and not being able to find red pants I'm not going as him now. I'm just going to stick to Katsuya. That costume's already finished. Yay!

As for the picture. If I can find it, it'll be posted on my homepage. http://hometown.aol.com/personausersuou/. I hope that works. If not, I'll double check it and redo it. Unfortunately I don't have any of my drawings of Katsu up. If you click on the links at the bottom of the page you can see my two created characters for Persona though.

I think it's a regular knit hat. If you get one made of a finer material that doesn't have friggin' huge weaving like a cheapo hat would, I think you would be fine.

The d20 Modern game's first session went very well. The players liked it so much, they're putting extra detail into their dossiers. I'm doing one sub-game per character, where I'll have them search for the butterfly crystals ala the Extra Dungeon. I hope I can live up to their expetations now! Although, battle is now kinda useless since everything is so story oriented, so I think I'll just give good xp if they play well, minus one battle where it would actually affect the story whether they win or not.

I wish I saved the translations to the comics in Errors of their Youth. I lost everything and I hadn't burned them to a cd. Furthermore, a translations of those dramas would be nice =P

Damn, I know how you feel but I think the only reason mine crashed was because its like 7 or 6 years old and doesn't hold much memory and I had a load of stuff on it. Everything runs more smoother since everything is gone now. I think its time for me to get another computer and hopefully it has a newer version of windows.

Slitting the shirt and adding a zipper should work fine, but I would use a wider zipper or a bigger shirt than really needed to prevent stretching it too tightly.

I'm trying to set up a Persona game in d20 Modern, but I only have 2 members ^^; I'd have 3, but my friend Andy is grounded. We had to create an entirely new magic system, though, which was a pain in the butt. The largest problem, though, will be figuring out a way to keep the plot going for very long. I figure the first plot will run short to set the ambience, then I might use the plot of Digital Devil Story and let the characters run around in that universe until I can think of a really good one myself. ^^;

So, I lost my computer again, too. ::grumble:: This time, I'm going to buy one off the shelf and call it quits.

^_^ The Philemon mask came out exceptionally well, and don't start your shinanigans with me, Ulala. >.< I never correct your mistakes. You're the smarter of the two of us, remember?

Alright, I used self-drying clay, and then painted over it with white, and then a pearly sparkly color. After that layer dried, I pretty much just painted designs on it, and then super-glued the butterfly onto the mask. It came out well!

I also painted eyeliner onto the mask for an added effect.

I still exist >_> I've been busy with fun doctor's appointments and preparing for Otakon. My sewing machine is missing a part that keeps the thread spool on the machine so I can't finish my Tatsuya jacket until I can fix it. x_x; Also found out I don't have a life-threatening disease so I'm happy about that. =P

-.- All right, update on the Philemon costume. I got materials to make the mask. I'm not sure if they will work or not but I will give you an update when I get them finished. I think I may be going to Ulala's house to work on them Tuesday, but I'm not entirely sure at this time.

However, I will give you this. The following is a list of materials I have purchased to make the mask.

Materials: Plain white drama/Masquerade mask; Self-hardening, paintable clay (I bout something that dries light weight as well--and it was cheaper than Sculpey.); Tempra paints (Black and white are definite musts. You may also want yellows, reds, oranges, browns, and other autumny GLOSSY colors. Nothing too dark.); Varying sizes of paint brushes for detailing; White glitter (Sprinkle on painted mask to make shiny like in the Ex dungeon! Whee!); and any other little pretties that you can think of to make the mask subtly beautiful.

Now, Philemon was a very iffy costume for me. While his clothing is very simple, his mak seems very intricate. Plus, I can't get my hair to do that without pounds of gel. I think Philemon is one of the most beautiful characters of Persona 2. I hope this mask turns out well!

Eh, Katsuya, the only small, eensie, tiny little problem with that is that I'm not doing Hermelin Brad. I'm doing Brad the TV host. Brad the idol. Brad the adored. XDDD

Anywho, thanks anyways. I'm just going to have some serious problems with his turtleneck thingie. Do you think I can just cut it down the middle and sew a zipper on? Cause it zips and bugs me to no end. >.> They just cannot have simple costumes, can they?

And Philemon, well, ehehe, I finally found a pair of black spandex-ey pants. XDDDDDD Philemon owns. Gotta luv him, right...? Right.....!?! And the mask still scares me. Hullo. I just got my SN to start working again yesterday, it was locking me out for some reason. I'll bet it was my dad's fault since he loves to screw with my stuff.

Maggie's back from vacation today, thank god. I was about to die of boredom, and I need to find a pic of Jun's outfit.

I'm going to sogoicon (Did I spell that right?) with Maggie this year as Katsuya. If I can make the costume I'll go as Jun on another day. ^.^;; Don't ask why, I have no idea.

Update on where I've been: Last month, I was passing a kidneystone and doped on codine. Medical bills are leaving me quite broke. =( Lately, I have no computer because a virus killed it. But I beat Galerians! Yay!
Brad cosplay... well, when I did Boy With Earring, I took a grey suit mom had made, wore a black turtleneck, and printed up the badge from an official manga artwork. I looked spiffy ^^
Brad's jacket makes it a bit more complicated, but if you get a suit pattern it shouldn't be too hard.
I wish I had something to contribute to the list =( Because I'm computerless, I can't make any more webpages. Maybe I can offer the erp site? I'm trying to get that going again, although the posting rate is pretty slow.
Oh, before I forget, I am going to suggest moving the list to blogspot.com because the setup for multiple people logging in is much safer. There is one owner and (s)he can add people to post with their own user name and password. If you're curious, this list is at sciphi.blogspot.com.

As for a Philemon mask? Party stores should carry white masks; you can cut the lower portion or not depending on what version of Philemon you're doing. Then you can use cellephane and paint and maybe Sculpey to do the butterfly (I only suggest Sculpey if you're going for a realistic effect and if your are doing the Persona 2 versions). OKAY!:D I was in the Persona 2 mood today so I made a couple sites. I dropped the Maya shrine, because I think that'd be too hard seeing as I don't have Tsumi *yet*. I WILL GET IT DAMMIT! One of these days! XD

Oh wow. I haven't like posted in here forever. *missed all of you* But fear not! *revives teh gblog* I'm making myself a Maya shrine for the Persona collective(er, were we having a Persona coll.?? *doesn't remember) and I was thinking since I haven't made the buttons that I was suppose to...*gets hit over the head with a hammer* Well, I was thinking about making a Persona mp3 rotation site? Though I only have Perosna 2: Batsu and Tsumi OST. I don't have any of part 1 or the drama cds and stuff. So, yea. Good idea or should it be dumped? I'll let you guys decide. Um, I was also thinking of making a new layout for the gblog(don't count on me getting it done in the day though, making layouts takes time...well for me it does XD). Though I need a good picture for it. Okay~ I worked more on the Persona site. Added some character bios and stuff... I need to gather things for the HELP section and the screenshot part of the gallery. But I need input on the clique. O_O

Should it be something like picking your favorite character? Or picking what Persona you'd like to summon? Hmm...

And I still haven't started my Ulala costume. *kicks self*

I really need to get working on my Ulala costume for Katsucon. >_< It's a month away!

Does anyone have any ideas for sites... so I can add them to the coming soon list on the side? Or any ideas for what we can call the pairing site? :D

Yay! I got the new layout up. Very simple. But it works. I thought that the "To the No. 1" fit us well for now. *cackles*

I really need to start more work on those other sites though... we need something else to put in the menu! >_<
